Hale Moana Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located between Hilo and the Volcanoes National Park in the Puna area, close to Pahoa. Hale Moana is one of the few Hawaii Bed and Breakfasts that welcomes families with children and offers many amenities that make it easy to travel as a family. With a family of our own, we know what it means to travel with children. Our large two-bedroom Lanai Suite offers a kitchen, dining/living room, private bathroom and separate entrance and is well suited to accommodate a family of five. Our rates are affordable, include our gourmet island breakfast, and there is no extra charge for children under 12. For families traveling with infants Hale Moana Hawaii Bed and Breakfast has the little extras available such as a crib or high chair. Other family oriented amenities including our BBQ grill, laundry facilities, snorkel gear, coolers, free WiFi etc. are also available to our guests. The two-acre property with beautiful gardens is perfect for children to play and explore.
We often have larger or more-generational families staying with us, including grandparents, uncles, aunties and cousins. For occasions like that families also have a choice of our other suites. Private bathrooms and separate entrances to each of our suites give our guests ultimate privacy. The Garden Suite is a one-bedroom apartment featuring a dining/living room area, separate bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The Studio offers a coffee station and refrigerator.

All three suites look out into our lush botanical garden, where orchids, tropical flowers, tropical fruit trees, pineapples and many other unusual plants create a tropical paradise  The neighborhood of Hale Moana Bed & Breakfast in Leilani Estates is quiet, safe for children to play and perfect for long walks or morning jogging. Shopping and excellent restaurants are just a 5-minute drive from here in Pahoa.

Every morning our Gourmet Island Breakfast is served in our breezeway. During breakfast we will give you an introduction to the area and help you plan your day. Many fun activities and sites are only minutes away from Hale Moana Bed & Breakfast, including snorkeling in the Kapoho Tide pools, swimming in natural hot ponds, black sand beaches, beautiful coastal parks, old and new lava flows - hidden treasures, that we will help you to explore. Our Bed & Breakfast is also centrally located to visit Hilo, waterfalls and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
